Till Hansen, MD, CFP, CFA

Welcome
My goal is to help. In this case, help young people avoid the pitfalls of the modern financial industry. Help them avoid debt, which usually enslaves those unaware of the hidden costs. Help them prosper by understanding the rules of the game. Help them be happier, less stressed and overwhelmed by adulting, less adrift, and possibly even better citizens.
Dr. Hansen became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 1999 and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2004.
In 1997, he began a journey of acquiring more financial education so that he could better invest his own money. The knowledge gained on this journey saved himself, his family, and close friends tens of thousands of dollars.
Eventually, he decided to put his expertise to better use by making it available to a wider audience, young adults. To that end, he developed this course for a private, college preparatory high school in Maui, Hawaii, several years ago.
He is a retired physician but still Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. He has written an eBook, The New Diabetes Type 2.
He also recently finished his first novel, The Danse of the Wildebeest.
He graduated Cum Laude from Chadwick School in Los Angeles and Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
He has a wide range of interests. In 2001, he flew as a first officer for Pacific Wings, which was a regional, scheduled part 135 carrier based on Maui. He has one thousand hours of flight time and a commercial pilot license, with single and multi-engine, land and sea ratings. He received his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1997 and is currently a student of Wing Chun. He is working on his second novel, set in France during World War Two. He was born in Germany and has lived in South Africa, Colombia, Europe and all over the United States. He is fluent in German, Spanish, and English. He and his wife split their time between Bilbao, Spain, and Cape Town, South Africa.
